Greensboro born and bred, Laura has an interesting life story. Initially getting her career off the ground working in magazine publishing, she played a major role in the design of many tech publications (Business 2.0 for example). This brought her to San Francisco where she witnessed the ever-expanding tech bubble of the early 2000’s. She came back to North Carolina and became creative director and a part of the founding staff for Edutopia magazine, published by the George Lucas Educational Foundation and later Art Director at TED Books. She has won numerous awards and accolades for her work because she knows how to create eye-catching content. Laura’s design precision, experience and sensibility have been an invaluable asset to Common Giant.
